Michael Built His IT Consulting Skills While Serving in the US Army
Prior to working at our IT support company, Michael spent his time serving in the US Army. While on post in South Korea, he picked up a study guide for CompTIA A+ at a local library – and the rest is history. He dutifully spent his free time studying for this comprehensive IT certification test to prepare for entry into a new field upon returning home. His hard work paid off with a passing grade and official certification in this field, plus the opportunity to join our IT consulting team in Arkansas!
He Commits One Weekend a Month to Training for the Army Reserves
Although he changed career paths, Michael remains dedicated to serving his country by remaining enrolled in the US Army Reserves. As a part of his commitment, he spends one weekend a month training to sharpen the skills used in his prior years of service. In addition to these training weekends and his work, school, social, and cat-wrangling activities, he spends two additional weeks on specialty and field training each year. His cycling hobby has understandably gone by the wayside with so many demands competing for his time.
He Obtained His AA in Business Administration Just for Kicks
Purportedly just for kicks, Michael earned an Associate’s degree in business administration, though there may be deeper reasons for this pursuit. In fact, his planned future acquisition of a Bachelor’s degree in information systems is particularly telling. Perhaps, deep down inside, he knew all along that he would end up as our star level 2 service technician – and started building his educational background to support that endeavor. Either way, we are delighted to have him as an integral part of our cyber security firm.
His Love for Helping People Drives His IT Consulting Career Success
A love for helping others has driven Michael to give his all to the IT world and our managed service provider team. With the sharing of one insightful hotkey combination at a time, and all the behind the scenes tasks he handles each day, he makes a positive impact on our work environment. Although he strives to be the best technician ever, and optimistically visualizes his clients backing those claims, his IT-centric altruism ends with the sound of the time clock at the end of the day – for his noble pursuit of a higher education, commitment to the Reserves, and love for his fiancée dominate the rest of his hours.
His Step-Cats Rule the Roost, But He Does Not Know That Yet
As Michael jovially announces his upcoming nuptials to his fiancée, a devoted mom of four cats, he is as happy as can be. Michael will get married to his fiancée on March 2nd, 2019 and our team of IT support specialists is very excited for the both of them.
